Joshua Lee Crummie

So our little Josh will be 8 tomorrow, and I have been thinking about what an awesome blessing he has been in our lives! Josh LOVES his family! (That's an understatement!) He is a great brother, and I have never seen a little boy admire thier big brother quite the way Josh admires Caleb. It melts a mother's heart. And he loves babies..he is usually the most excited over our new additions. He can't make a decision on anything (his favorate color is "colorful", his favorate animal is "all of them")!! He is sure of one thing, his favorate food...CHERRIES! His daddy has called him stinkerbaby since he was an infant. He is anything but selfish, always wanting to make sure others are happy. He is smart, sweet, and sensitive. Joshua Lee makes my heart smile!!

Crabbie Addie's 1st Birthday

Crabbie Addie's 1st Birthday!! Enough said!!

Dump Truck Birthday Cake

For James and Micah's birthday last year, we decided on dump trucks. This cake was simple, creative, and cute!! A chocolate cake with chocolate icing with cookie crumbles on top put into the back of a metal dump truck and served with a shovel!

Superhero Training Camp

For Caleb and Joshua's birthday last year we held a superhero training camp. Luckily, there birthdays fall near halloween, and we were able to score supplies on the after halloween clearance. They started with an obstacle course which included learning to fly (a leap on the trampoline), walking on buildings (balance beam created with boards and blocks), and much more (be creative), all while being attacked by the super villian (dad), who they defeated with silly string.  Thier cake was two square cakes stacked with fondant made to look like a building with small superhero figures saving the day! The boys had a blast (and so did dad)! I hope we can top it off with the mad scientist party this year (expect posts in the near future).

Bird's Nest Costume

With a big family and a small budget, I often find myself having to get creative. Most  halloweens we make our own costumes. One of my personal favorates would be my daughter Addison's bird's nest costume that she wore last year. It was very inexpensive with most items coming from the $1 store, and very simple. I first took a head wrap and using craft glue attached a foam flower. I then attached fake vine into the shape of a nest, and glued a fake bird on top. I took a green onesie and added foam flowers and brown pants to complete the costume. She was adorable, if I must say so myself!!

All About The Crumpsters

At the age of 27, I have already been married for eight and a half years to Christopher Crummie, the man I have loved since I was 16. We have the blessing of being the parents of ten precious children. The oldest Caleb will be 9 next month, Joshua will be 8 this month, Caydance is 7, Lydia is 6, Rose and Thorne are 4, Micah is 3, James is 2, Addison is 19 months, and Ezekiel is 6 months. I wanted to write a blog to share what all God has done and is continuing to do in our lives. Also, to share the things we love and our everyday life. I hope you join me, Wendy Crummie, in my journey.
