Halloween 2012

My boys didn't let me get creative this year, but they were happy. Josh was Ghost from the video game (thanks to hs daddy's influence), Caleb had his heart set on being Iron hyde the transformer. Thorne was Ash and Micah was Pikkachu (Pokemon is quite popular in our house!) And of course,James was Mickey Mouse!!
Caydance was a beautiful ballerina, and Lydia was a purple fairy. (Not just any fairy...a purple fairy!) And Rose was her absolute favorate Barbie!

Addison wouldn't take a picture with her sister..:(! But here she is in her Cookie Monster tutu dress made by Mommy. She loves Cookie!

Christopher Caleb Crummie

Yesterday we celebrated the 9th birthday of our firstborn Caleb, where does the time go?!?! Numbers 14:24 says "But my servant Caleb, because he had a different spirit and has followed Me fully..."...this verse makes me believe Caleb's name was chosen for him for a reason in a time before Christopher and I even knew it. A different spirit..that is the only way to describe our Caleb as well. He is not one to follow the crowd, he makes decisions based on his beliefs, and i am happy to say that he choose to live life to the fullest for Christ. He is an animal fanatic, in hopes to be a zookeeper one day, and he is quite compassionate on God's creatures. He loves his daddy, and looks to please him daily! He is very proud to carry his dad's first name. He is an AWESOME big brother!!! And no matter how old he gets, he will always be a momma's baby!!!

Joshua Lee Crummie

So our little Josh will be 8 tomorrow, and I have been thinking about what an awesome blessing he has been in our lives! Josh LOVES his family! (That's an understatement!) He is a great brother, and I have never seen a little boy admire thier big brother quite the way Josh admires Caleb. It melts a mother's heart. And he loves babies..he is usually the most excited over our new additions. He can't make a decision on anything (his favorate color is "colorful", his favorate animal is "all of them")!! He is sure of one thing, his favorate food...CHERRIES! His daddy has called him stinkerbaby since he was an infant. He is anything but selfish, always wanting to make sure others are happy. He is smart, sweet, and sensitive. Joshua Lee makes my heart smile!!

Crabbie Addie's 1st Birthday

Crabbie Addie's 1st Birthday!! Enough said!!

Dump Truck Birthday Cake

For James and Micah's birthday last year, we decided on dump trucks. This cake was simple, creative, and cute!! A chocolate cake with chocolate icing with cookie crumbles on top put into the back of a metal dump truck and served with a shovel!

Superhero Training Camp

For Caleb and Joshua's birthday last year we held a superhero training camp. Luckily, there birthdays fall near halloween, and we were able to score supplies on the after halloween clearance. They started with an obstacle course which included learning to fly (a leap on the trampoline), walking on buildings (balance beam created with boards and blocks), and much more (be creative), all while being attacked by the super villian (dad), who they defeated with silly string.  Thier cake was two square cakes stacked with fondant made to look like a building with small superhero figures saving the day! The boys had a blast (and so did dad)! I hope we can top it off with the mad scientist party this year (expect posts in the near future).
